GARMENTS

Noida is a big center for Garment Fabrication and Textile Processing, although there are virtually no units engaged in manufacture of Textiles though there are few Hoisery Units in Noida. 

Most of the Garment Fabrication Units are Export Oriented. Noida also has a dedicated sector in the form of Hoisery Complex for Garment Fabrication. As Noida is ideally suited for EOU's due to presence of NEPZ here and the world class infrastructure and industrial ambience it provides, number of units from Delhi are also relocating to Noida.

One can definitely see a lot of Garment Fabrication units in Noida, labour is abundant and so is the support of machine vendors and the chain of dying and bleaching units ( although officially Noida Authority does not encourage such kind of activities).

Most of the Garment fabrication units are engaged in Jobwork activities for the actual merchant exporters. There are also a number of Export Houses and Buying Houses present in Noida.

Thus it is safe to assume that starting a Garment Fabrication is a safe bet. Also one can explore the possibility of supplying the huge amount of various kinds of textiles and fabric required by the garment Industry.
