PACKAGING

The state of Packaging as a industry is always dependent on the health of other industries. In Noida there are a host of industries where the demand for packaging inputs is very huge, such as Consumer Durables units, Garment Fabricators, Consumer Non-durable manufacturers and fortunately all of them are in a good health and so is the Packaging Industry in NOIDA.

At the last count there are around 400 units engaged in manufacture of cartons, boxes, polythene covers, laminated films, thermocole and various kinds of packaging inputs.

The packaging unit is supported by a very vibrant printing and graphics industry and not to mention the availability of good labour , capital goods and the raw material input for production within the confines of Noida itself. (Although Kraft paper a chief input for corrugation industry is not made in Noida still there are traders who are bringing it from far off places like Kandla so as to satisfy the huge demand for this paper by the packaging industry).

Thus one can easily start with a packaging unit as all the inputs for setting it up along with a ready market for the product is available locally. One can also look at the possibility of trading in the much required Kraft paper.
